  1. One lead colour is enough

    Pick one or two materials of this character as the lead and use a little more of them, and the character comes through clearly.

  2. Leave room with white

    White stones such as clear quartz and white azeztulite lean towards no character, so they work as breathing space between the leads.

  3. Let metal spacers set the rhythm

    Gold-coloured or silver-coloured spacers are not counted towards the character; use them to break the colours into sections and give the strand a rhythm.
